Organization of the Cooperation between the Partners

Partners’ commitment focuses on cross border interactive achievements:

• The Flemish partner leads the experimentation of upstream technologies on the “Lab-vessel” in Oostende. It also monitors ports energy and alternative fuel supply station technologies.

• The French partner integrates downstream the gained technologies and implement on the demonstration trawler in Boulogne in real play situation of fishing.

• The British partner ensures innovation watch and technological sourcing and is in charge of disseminating demonstrated solutions towards professional and industrial maritime professional and media networks.

• The British Fishing Research Institute elaborates energy saving trawling net technology, produces a prototype that is primarily tested at the Boulogne IFREMER flume tank, then trailed on the Flemish laboratory vessel and finally experienced in real play on board the demonstrator vessel.

• The French Fishing research Institute follows the same routine for the trap technology improvement.

• The Flemish Fishing Research Institute trails electric fishing technology on the Lab Vessel.

• Industrial private companies are participating in quality of observers, and contribute to project with intellectual input and logistic supports. These contributions are transversal.

• The capitalization is notabily ensured by technical seminaries, which are accessible for the maritime community and a broader audience.

• The industry sector communication is coordinate by UK-partner.

• Flemish partner is in charge of coordinating internal evaluations.

The ambition not to overlap explains budget variations in between partners.

The localization of the pilot projects, Lab Vessel in Flanders and the Demonstration-Vessel in France, explains the preponderance of these two partners budgets.
